UpTown Country 2010 Date AnnouncedWe are pleased to officially announce the date for UpTown Country Waterloo 2010. Friday June 18th and Saturday June 19th, 2010 UpTown Country is a FREE festival, held rain or shine in the Regina St. parking lot (Regina St. and Willis Way). Come to UpTown Waterloo, pull up a hay bale and enjoy the show! New this year: Special performance Friday June 18th at the Waterloo Public Square from 7-9pm. Dawson ReignsKitchener born - Cambridge raised Dawson Reigns is the latest product of a creative fusion between rock influences and new country! Although Dawson has been singing and performing most of his life, he began his professional music career six years ago working the indie circuit in local bars and festivals across Ontario. During this time, Dawson was also performing, recording and developing strong relationships in the music industry in Nashville. Dawson now spends equal time at his residence in Cambridge and in Nashville. Ally HowattIt has been a lifelong dream of this 24 year old, Canadian-born country starlet to sing professionally. It all came to fruition in 2005 with one very inspiring trip to Nashville, where she attended the Radio Broadcast Seminar. Ally Howatt studied vocal technique under Canadian rock legend Ray Lyell of “Ray Lyell & The Storm".Ally consistently placed in every vocal competition she entered. Tonya KennedyTonya Kennedy is a proud Newfoundland Gal ~ living in Barrie, Ontario. Over the past couple of years Tonya has quietly been establishing her place in the Canadian Country Music scene but this quiet Newfie is about to make some noise!!! 2009 was an incredible year for this up-and-coming artist with FACTOR (Foundation To Assist Canadian Talent On Records). Tonya was honoured to receive a grant to record her album “Lucky I Lost You”. In April 2010 Tonya organized and performed at her 4th annual benefit concert in support of The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and has donated a grand total of $15,000!
