Chantal Thorn, 2007 Star Quest Winner Take the Stage

Originally from North Bay, Ontario, Chantal has been hooked on performing since her very first singing contest at age 11, where, despite performing a pitchy version of "That'll be the day," she managed to walk away with second place! From that point on, Chantal began performing in and around the North Bay area with her duo, Sweet Nothin'.

More recently, music took a bit of a back seat while Chantal completed her goal of obtaining her Phd in Applied Social Psychology in October 2007. Currently, Chantal enjoys her work as the Director of Organizational Development at Guelph General Hospital and developing her own company, Chantal R.Thorn, Phd Consulting where she offers speaking, coaching, training and vocalist services.

Today, Chantal has takes every opportunity to perform and share her music. A vocalist with over 20 years of experience, she is available for weddings, corporate events, private parties and conventions. She has been fortunate lately with recent accomplishments including winning the Ontario Open Country Singing Contest (2007), the Northern Ontario Open Country Singing Contest (2005, 2007), the Uptown Waterloo Starquest Competition (2007) and placing second in the songwriters category at the Canadian Open Country Singing Contest (2005).
